"My daughter attended the school for two and a half years and my younger daughter was a pupil until July 2003. Even now, though the elder one has started at 'big' school, she can't wait to go back and see Miss Virginia and her staff. Like most parents, I knew little about Montessori when she started. But I knew that I has found something very special. Then I started to read more about it. I saw day by day how it is based on careful observation of each child and tapping each stage of childhood development, so new skills, and concentration develop quickly and easily. The range and breadth of activities are huge, the enthusiasm for learning immense and the impact is a real joy to behold. Ofsted says that the quality of teaching is 'excellent', and rightly so. The test of all these things is the child though. They have thrived, turning from shy little toddlers into confident independent little girls. "Sunshine Montessori School has endowed my two oldest children of five
years and three and a half years, with all the skills they will need for
their future school lives. They can read and count with confidence, interact
well with both other children and adults and can converse clearly and
concisely on many subjects, constantly surprising me with their general
knowledge and grasp of facts. My oldest daughter has now started at 'big'
school and with all the confidence she has gained from Sunshine, has settled
in with no problems whatsoever. All my children love Miss Virginia and my
youngest can't wait to start in January. I am expecting my fourth child in a
few weeks and I look forward to her/him starting with Miss Virginia and
growing into as confident a child as my oldest have become. For myself, I
